Picking the best centrifugal juicer can be challenging. There are so many options on the market that choosing one that blends quality, an affordable price, and usefulness into one can be frustrating.

To that end, we’ve put together this list of the Top 5 best centrifugal juicers for you. We assess the components that are most important based on our years of juicing experience:

Price: Always an important factor in any purchase. And more important than price, is value. We look at both. Remember the age old saying, “The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten.”

Efficiency and Strength: If you ever done some heavy juicing, then you know how unnerving it can be to see a juicer struggling to process tough vegetables. It’s working itself to death, without much output.

Durability: You want your investment to last beyond the season you’re in. Buy a cheap one, and you’ll be back on the research market six months later. Buy high quality and you’ll love your centrifugal juicer for years!

Reviews: A critical component in any online purchase. You want it to be widely loved to give that full level of comfort.

Cleanability: We are all super busy with life. We don’t want proper cleaning of our juicer to take up an afternoon!

Let’s dive in.

1) Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus

Breville Juice Fountain Cold PlusPrice

The Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus costs $199.95. You can also extend your warranty protection by:

  • Two years for $14.99
  • Three years for $19.99

Efficiency and Strength

Some juicers have to work incredibly hard on tougher veggies, which wears them out quickly. Plus, it takes forever to get your juice and go about your day.

The Breville juicer is efficient and quickly juices fruits or veggies. You don’t have to shove them through; the device does all the work for you. Breville is also great because it handles more resilient fruits and vegges like orange and lemon peels, ginger roots, and more.

Durability

Breville is the absolute top-shelf quality in the market. It runs even after years of regular use, just like it does on the day you bought it. Of course, this assumes you use the device an average amount: one to four times per week, which is the average amount for most juice enthusiasts. But it is an absolute workhorse.

Having used many lower-end juicers over the years, we know that after six months it becomes difficult to push through the tough fruits and veggies (like carrots, beets, and ginger). It’s at this point that juicing becomes a lot of work. With the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus, juicing remains a joy! It’s as clean and efficient after a year of hard-core juicing as it was in week one.

Part of that is that this juicer has a resilient motor that never hits its limit to cut through fruits and veggies. Other devices fall short because their motor works extra hard, which wears it down quickly.

Reviews

With a rating of 4.6 out of 5 and 12,000+ reviews on Amazon, it’s safe to say that most people enjoy the product. In our estimation, this rating is too low. Having used more than 15 juicers, this one deserves a 5.0 based on our own experience. It stands tall in a crowded room.

Flexibility and Range

The Juice Fountain Cold Plus by Breville is great at juicing all fruits and veggies, from easy options like celery and cucumber, to the more stubborn carrots, beets, and similar.

Cleanability

Most Breville parts can go into the dishwasher, which makes them easy to keep clean and sanitize. This is important because juicing can be messy, and many cheap juicers break down because water gets their motor wet. Breville clearly identifies the two or three parts to keep out of your dishwasher.

Best Juicers for Different Fruits and Vegetables

Whether it’s coarse veggies, or fruits with heavy skins, the best all-purpose juicers can handle the job. You just won’t need a different juicer for different types of vegetables, although that is an occasional sales pitch.

So the best juicer for leafy greens will also be the best juicer for celery or beets.

And we recognize Breville as the leader for quality juicers that won’t break the bank! These are top-shelf juicers that are levels above what you will see at your chain retailers. And here is our recommendation for the best Breville juicer.

Best Fruits and Veggies to Juice

There are many fruits and veggies that are ideal for juicing as well. The key to healthy juicing, much like a healthy diet, is balance and variety. (2)

Juicing is also great for weight loss, but is not a viable long-term diet by any means. Consuming only juice for a specific period helps weight loss through cleansing, and ridding yourself of toxins.

Here are some of the best fruits and vegetables for juicing.

And within various fruits and vegetable groups, there are more juicer-friendly fruits and veggies. For example, here are some of the best oranges for juicing.

Juicing is a great way to detox, cleanse, lose some weight, and get healthier. It’s also a great jumpstart to a diet, as it cleans you out and gives you a threshold point to start a new diet plan. But always check with your personal physician before and major changes in your diet plan, and juicing is no exception.
